Silhouette: MediaPipe pose + person mask on each still. Height scales pixels to cm. Front gives widths, side gives depths; circumference = ellipse perimeter (Ramanujan). Without a side photo, depth is assumed from typical ratios and flagged.
Body fat: US Navy circumference method (Hodgdon & Beckett 1984; SEE ≈ 3.5–4 % vs hydrostatic). Cross-checks: CUN-BAE (Gómez-Ambrosi 2012) and Deurenberg 1991 from BMI.
Skeletal muscle: Lee et al. 2000 anthropometric equation, validated against whole-body MRI. FFMI: Kouri 1995 normalisation. Ratios: Ashwell WHtR 0.5; WHO WHR 0.90 / 0.85.
3D engine (optional): tools/bodycomp_server runs SAM 3D Body (Meta, 2025) on this machine, slices the fitted mesh at each level and returns true circumferences. Start it with .venv\Scripts\python tools\bodycomp_server\server.py. Known limit: the mesh smooths individual morphology (Aiersilan et al. 2026), so it is a better ruler, not a scanner.
